So, I spent the weekend in Chicago. Everytime I spend a weekend in Chicago I try to hit the coolest store in the city, House of Monsters. It is a small shop tons of kickass monster collectibles.
This time, it wasn't a very successful stop. They used to have a whole slew of Godzilla and other kaiju vinyl figures, and I always like to pick a couple up when I am there. Well, it appears as though they have scaled back on Bandai Godzilla vinyls. All they had were the older ones, which are quite pricey, and I wasn't looking to spend a shitload. They didn't have ANY of the newer vinyls, and NO Final Wars stuff. What the hell!?!
They had a lot of other great stuff, vintage monsters toys, Planet of the Apes masks, lots of great lobby cards, Godzilla models, magazines, comics, etc., etc., etc, but just about everything was over priced, and I can find much better deals on most. I spent about 2 hours in the store, and all I left with, were....
Gamera from Gamera III (in flight) vinyl figure. tri-pod not included.
This dude from the Marmit, Ultraman, Ultra 7 series. Just because he was in the $5.00 vinyl bin, and I thought he had kind of a Yokai Monsters feel to him, and looked groovy.

The Sideshow 12" Nova? I have seen the picture of the 2 pack they have had on their site forever. But haven't seen any recent pics. Where did you see it at?
that gamera is pretty damn cool, i've always been a Gigan man myself but i've got nothing against the turtle [img]smile.gif[/img]
